NOVOCASTRIAN GERANT KENNETH’S DEBUT SHORT FILMS ‘DAY OUT’ & ‘DAY INN’ PREMIERE

Lifetime Novocastrian, Gerant Kenneth, has just wrapped final cut on his debut short films Day Out (20 min) and companion piece Day Inn (18 min). Shot in and around Newcastle, the first film (Day Out) tells the story of a paranoid author being censored by his publisher and the state. The second film (Day Inn) tells the story of how that censorship effects the day to day life of the character in his book.

Written, directed and edited by Gerant Kenneth, the films will have a one night only premiere screening in Newcastle before trying their hand on the film festival circuit. The event is booked for Saturday July 26 with a 7pm start at The Royal Exchange on Bolton St, Newcastle. After both films their will be a Q&A with filmmaker and cast. Coupled with this event will be the launch of Gerant’s first published book, Forever Dream. Forever Love. Forever More. The book that informed the film Day Inn.
